Georgia Highlands College is a multi‑campus, state college member of the University System of Georgia. Founded in 1970 as Floyd Junior College, it now serves more than 6,000 students in Northwest Georgia and Northeast Alabama across its five locations in Rome, Cartersville, Marietta, Dallas, and Douglasville. Job Summary Part‑time instructor for a multi‑site college in the University System of Georgia. Reporting to the Division Chair of Business and Professional Studies, the part‑time instructor is responsible for preparing for and delivering instruction in Business Administration. Potential courses include “Environment of Business”, “Communicating in the Business Environment”, and “Fundamentals of Computer Applications.”
Responsibilities
Manage courses through systematic use of syllabi
Keep accurate records of students’ class performance, attendance, and grades
Adopt and implement common course objectives
Attend part‑time faculty orientation prior to the beginning of the semester
Participate in assessment of student learning outcomes
Required Qualifications • Minimum of a Master’s degree in the subject or a Master’s with 18 hours of graduate‑level courses in business administration • Available to teach day, evening, or weekend at any of the Georgia Highlands College instructional sites
Proposed Salary Salary determined by instructor part‑time pay scale.
