Overview Gordon Truck Centers / Freightliner Northwest is hiring a Facilities Janitorial/Light Maintenance professional in Medford, OR. The role includes landscaping, general facility clean‑up, janitorial duties, and light maintenance such as minor repairs and moving materials. Responsibilities
Perform work according to standard procedure and the building’s operational schedule.
Maintain the exterior of the facility; sweep walkways, empty trash cans, and remove debris.
Clean all interior spaces, including rooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, stairwells, and windows.
Empty wastebaskets; recycle and replenish restroom and breakroom supplies.
Monitor and ensure pallets and cardboard are picked up and receptacles remain in good order.
Perform seasonal tasks such as sweeping walkways, spreading ice melt, and removing snow.
Paint touch‑ups and finish painting when required.
Deliver supplies and materials for building maintenance.
Make minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing repairs.
Set up and tear down chairs, tables, and equipment in meeting rooms and for events.
Maintain and track daily cleanliness check sheets.
Use hand tools and power tools for minor maintenance repairs.
Operate forklifts as needed.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to company safety policies.
Accept ownership of new and different requests.
Attend work on schedule, with prompt daily attendance.
Perform other general duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; demonstrable landscaping experience.
Other:
Valid driver’s license and insurability.
Skills:
Organized, able to multitask, professional, safety‑mindful, strong communication (verbal and written), excellent listening skills, capable of working independently and in a team.
Job Conditions Physical:
Requires walking, reaching, bending, climbing, lifting, pushing, twisting, repetitive hand motion, squatting, and kneeling. Must be able to stand for extended periods.
Environmental:
Primarily outdoors with some indoor work; high noise level. Personal protective equipment (ear and eye protection) to be used and provided.
Hours:
Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
