Maintenance Technician Requisition ID#: 2867 Location: Louisville, KY 40213 Property: Derby City Gaming & Hotel Pay Range: $26.48 per hour
Job Summary The Maintenance Worker installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems in commercial or industrial establishments.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Respond to and complete daily work order requests involving all aspects of maintenance.
Perform weekly, monthly, semi‑annual, annual, and other preventative maintenance checks and procedures.
Repair furniture, fixtures, walls, ceilings, equipment, and other items requiring service.
Understand the principles and operation of fire sprinkler systems.
Perform small welding tasks as required throughout the facility.
Assist with plumbing, electrical, and other facility‑related incidents and needs.
Operate a pressure washer and provide required cleaning as needed.
Operate a forklift or aerial lift and complete required training.
Participate in safety training and pass associated quizzes.
Required Skills & Abilities
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in maintenance trades (plumbing, carpentry, painting, masonry, electrical, etc.).
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in commercial facility maintenance.
Above‑average computer skills, including Microsoft Office, CMMS, and IMS programs.
Experience using a MIG welder.
Experience with dry fire sprinkler system operation and resetting.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
Self‑starter with the ability to make educated decisions.
Proficiency with maintenance equipment such as forklift, two‑man lift, and various power tools.
Valid driver’s license.
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED required. Trade vocational training or additional certificates in maintenance fields are a plus.
Valid gaming license.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
Regularly lift/move 10 pounds, frequently lift/move 25 pounds, and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds.
Remain stationary, move, traverse, ascend/descend, position self, manipulate tools, and repetitively operate equipment.
Detect, determine, perceive, recognize, judge, inspect, estimate, and assess various working situations.
Exposed to outdoor weather, moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, vibration, and moderate noise levels.
