Utility Line Clearance Foreman (CDL Preferred)
Join the Davey Tree Expert Company as a Line Clearance Foreman in the Medina, OH region, inclusive of Wellington and Ashland. Work on site with a crew of 2–5 people, performing tree pruning, removal, and utility line clearance for major electric utilities.
Position Overview Lead a tree crew, coordinate safe and efficient removal and pruning, manage equipment, train new crew members, maintain inspection records, and adhere to industry safety guidelines.
Job Duties
Head a 2–5 person tree crew for tree pruning and removal services for utility providers.
Prune treetops and repair damaged trees by trimming or removal.
Remove broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects.
Apply tree identification knowledge and industry pruning guidelines.
Perform job-site inspections with proper planning and execution of tasks.
Properly maintain, prepare, and operate all tools and equipment (chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, etc.).
Mentor and train new employees.
Qualifications
Love of the outdoors.
Complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
Complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
Valid driver’s license.
Preferred: Commercial Driver’s License-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement or willingness to obtain.
Required: line clearance experience or related tree work.
Preferred: relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law.
Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional.
