Lifesteps is hiring two, part-time Early Intervention Screeners to assess and evaluate children and infants as they grow and develop.

Position Summary POSITION OBJECTIVE: The Developmental Screener is responsible for scheduling, administering, scoring and interpreting developmental screenings for children ages birth to 5 years old. This position is responsible for sharing the results of the screening to the parents in a professional, non-threatening manner and providing parents with information on developmentally appropriate activities and child development. The Developmental Screener also functions as a Resource Specialist responsible for developing informational resources, networking opportunities, and offers supports available to families in the Indiana County identified service areas which includes at risk areas for health related social needs.
Responsibilities
Schedule developmental screenings.
Administer developmental screening tools.
Score and interpret screening results.
Share results with parents in a professional, non-threatening manner.
Provide parents with information on developmentally appropriate activities and child development.
Develop informational resources, networking opportunities, and provide information on available supports for families.
Qualifications
Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, Family Studies, Psychology or a Human Service field OR a High School Diploma/GED and a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential OR a High School Diploma/GED and two (2) years of Childcare experience
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Current driver's license and the ability to travel for business with personal vehicle
Preferred
Child Development Assessment experience
