As a key player in our service operations, you’ll perform complex diagnostics, overhauls, and repairs on Caterpillar diesel‑powered construction equipment. Requirements Must own proper tools to perform necessary repairs High school diploma or equivalent required Deep understanding of hydraulics, transmissions, fuel systems, and undercarriage components Experience using diagnostic systems such as Cat ET Prior military or heavy construction mechanic experience (Caterpillar or similar brands) Ability to work independently in shop or field settings Strongly Preferred Experience Welding and fabrication: MIG, arc welding, oxyacetylene, arc gouging Hands‑on experience with hydraulic pumps, valves, and motors Earthmoving equipment service training via dealership, OEM, or technical schools Proficiency with Cat ET or competitor troubleshooting platforms Heavy Equipment Technician levels and compensation are based on experience, certifications, and technical expertise.
