Perform coronal polishing on pediatric patients in accordance with dental protocols and regulations. Prepare treatment rooms for patient appointments by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are stocked. Educate children and their parents about proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Record patient medical and dental histories accurately, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Help manage patient flow and contribute to a positive, friendly atmosphere within the dental practice. Schedule appointments and follow up with patients or parents regarding treatment plans or upcoming visits. Assist in the management of dental records and other administrative tasks as needed. Qualifications 3+ years of dental assisting experience Valid coronal polishing certification is required. Valid RDA license and certification in CPR and other relevant dental certifications as required by law. Previous experience in a pediatric dental setting is preferred. Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and office practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong emphasis on creating a comforting environment for children. Ability to handle stressful situations with patience and professionalism. Proficient in using dental software and technology.
