As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail or mall locations, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, engaging with visitors and staff, and providing outstanding customer service. - Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior within the retail environment.
- Report and document observations, incidents, and/or irregularities according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
- Assist with wayfinding and provide information to customers and staff as needed.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services if required, following established procedures.
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
