An opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse experienced in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) to provide critical care to patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. This contract position calls for dedication to patient safety, clinical excellence, and teamwork during 12-hour night shifts. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Minimum of 1 year PCU RN experience Proficient in managing high-acuity patients, including experience with drips and arterial lines Knowledge of bipap and airvo respiratory support techniques is preferred Current RN license, ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required Ability to float to lesser acuity units as needed Willingness to work every other weekend and major holidays with scheduling flexibility New graduate candidates will not be considered Responsibilities: Deliver attentive nursing care to patients requiring intensive monitoring and interventions Administer medications and monitor drip infusions, arterial lines, and respiratory support devices Collaborate closely with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans Document patient progress accurately and maintain up-to-date medical records Prioritize patient safety in a nicotine-free facility environment Participate in orientation and ongoing training sessions as scheduled Work Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15 Orientation Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Location Overview:Situated in the vibrant Kansas City metro area, this opportunity allows you to work in a dynamic healthcare setting just outside the city center.
