CommuniKids NY is a full-service speech-language and occupational therapy practice with offices in downtown Summit, New Jersey and the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Led by experienced professionals, we approach each child's needs individually. Our team is well-versed and continually educated in addressing a wide range of pediatric and teenage conditions, from articulation issues to more involved concerns such as Central Auditory Processing and Autistic Spectrum Disorders. As a multi-disciplined facility, we can offer co-treatments and back-to-back sessions for clients requiring multiple therapies.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Occupational Therapist located in the New York City Metropolitan Area. The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing individualized therapy plans. Day-to-day tasks include conducting evaluations, developing treatment plans, and providing hands-on therapy. The therapist will also communicate with parents and caregivers, document progress, and collaborate with a team of professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Qualifications
Knowledge in medical practices relevant to pediatric care Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members Experience in working with pediatric populations Excellent organizational and documentation skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Current NY state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
