The Lawn Care Specialist is a hands-on role in turfgrass management, responsible for delivering high-quality agronomic services while maintaining exceptional professionalism and customer care. Specialists manage assigned routes, operate and maintain equipment, and serve as trusted representatives of the DTL brand. We invest heavily in training, support professional licensing, and foster a collaborative culture where every team member’s work matters. Key Responsibilities

Route & Service Execution Manage and maintain a dedicated customer route Perform fertilizer, weed control, insect, and disease applications according to program standards Ensure all services are completed thoroughly, accurately, and professionally Observe turf and property conditions and communicate agronomic concerns or recommendations to leadership Equipment & Safety Prepare trucks and application equipment daily Safely operate company vehicles and equipment (with or without trailers) Maintain proper equipment calibration to ensure accurate application rates Clean and maintain trucks and equipment daily and weekly Maintain organized, properly labeled chemical storage areas Follow all environmental, public, and chemical safety protocols, including required PPE Communication & Teamwork Communicate daily with the Director of Agronomy and Director of Operations Participate in weekly crew meetings and training sessions Provide top-tier customer service and build positive client relationships Work independently or collaboratively to meet daily production goals Professional Standards Maintain a clean, professional appearance at all times Wear company-approved uniforms, boots, and required PPE Uphold all DTL policies, procedures, and service standards Conduct yourself professionally with clients, teammates, and the public Schedule & Physical Requirements

Typical work hours:

7:00 AM – 4:30 PM

, with seasonal adjustments Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly Ability to bend, stoop, and work on your feet throughout the day Ability to work in various weather conditions (8–10 hour days) Weekend availability may be required during peak seasons Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license with a clean driving record Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and DOT physical Dependable, self-motivated, and eager to learn Strong verbal and written communication skills Positive attitude and strong attention to detail Must have a PA Pesticide Applicator License OR be willing and able to obtain a PA Commercial Applicator License (Core, Category 6 & 7) within 90 days of employment (required) Preferred Qualifications

Prior lawn care, landscaping, or turf experience Pennsylvania Pesticide Applicator License (Category 7 preferred) Relevant coursework is a plus: Turfgrass Science Horticulture / Plant Science Agronomy Landscape Management Urban Agriculture Agribusiness Licensing & Training

Employees without a PA Pesticide Applicator License

are required to obtain a PA Commercial Applicator License (Core, Category 6 & 7) within 90 days of hire Training materials will be provided by the company Exam fees will be reimbursed upon successful completion Benefits & Perks
