Job Summary
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will support business units by providing HR expertise and guidance on various HR functions including employee relations, staffing, performance management, and talent development. This role requires a collaborative approach to help align HR initiatives with the bank’s strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities
Partner with business units to understand their objectives and provide HR support to meet their needs. Assist in developing and implementing HR strategies that align with business goals, including employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, HR scorecard interpretation, workforce planning, and data‑driven decision making.
Assist hiring managers in the recruitment process, including job description refinements, location‑specific skill requirements, and in‑person interviews and candidate selection. Support full‑cycle onboarding and talent management activities such as career development and succession planning.
Provide guidance and support on employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with bank policies and legal requirements. Facilitate conflict resolution and promote a positive work environment. Work collaboratively with the Benefits Specialist on FMLA, ADA, and workers compensation matters.
Support the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and development plans. Provide coaching and support to managers and employees on performance‑related issues.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Assist with the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures. Deliver talent development programs, curriculum, and initiatives to all employees.
Participate in HR projects and initiatives, as assigned by the HR Director, aimed at improving HR processes and practices.
Serve as the HR resource and liaison to employees involved in M&A processes, as assigned by the HR Director.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of progressive HR experience in an HRBP or similar role; additional directly relevant experience may substitute for education.
SHRM‑CP or PHR certification highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and HRIS systems.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to build effective relationships with managers and employees at all levels.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Responsible for understanding and following applicable federal, state, and local laws (employment laws, Bank Secrecy Act, etc.).
Travel required, up to 20%.

Physical Requirements: Requires standing, walking, bending, and squatting regularly. May require stooping, kneeling, crouching, or reaching with hands and arms. Requires ability to carry, lift, move or push up to 25 pounds occasionally. Must be able to talk and listen to others.
Work Environment: Regularly works in an office setting; most duties involve computer and electronic media use.
