We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.
Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity. At this time, Dominion Energy cannot transfer or sponsor a work visa or employment authorization for this position.
Job Summary Associate Communications Specialist:
Understands and stays abreast of issues, both external and internal, that impact company operations.
Prepares non-complex leadership, safety, training, and environmental communications, both written and multimedia, for internal distribution.
Helps to facilitate communication among company management and employees.
Aids in identifying issues and developing communication plans for an appropriate audience.
Aids in advising management on communication plans.
Assists and promotes Dominion Energy Virginia programs.
Communications Specialist:
Understands and stays abreast of issues, both external and internal, that impact company operations.
Prepares leadership, safety, training, and environmental communications, both written and multimedia, for internal distribution.
Facilitates communication among company management and employees.
Identifies issues and develops communication plans for an appropriate audience.
Assists and promotes Dominion Energy Virginia programs.
Associate Communications Specialist:
0-2 years of corporate communications and/or news media experience.
Strong writing and editing skills.
Multimedia, videography, photography, and newsletter design knowledge is a plus.
Ability to process and respond to information quickly.
Ability to develop and manage network of contacts, for information gathering and dissemination.
Communications Specialist:
2+ years of corporate communications and/or news media experience.
Experience working with a team and managing complex, communications project budgets and deadlines.
Superior writing and editing skills.
Knowledge of multimedia, videography, photography, and newsletter design.
Ability to process and respond to information quickly.
Ability to develop and manage network of contacts, for information gathering and dissemination.
Education Requirements Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
Bachelor
Preferred Disciplines: Journalism, Mass Communications, Film/Photography
Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above
Working Conditions Travel up to 25%
