Health Unit Coordinator

Supports the Emergency Department operations by providing effective and timely communications, maintaining a clean, safe, orderly work environment, maintaining data and related records, performing clerical and other administrative support services as directed, and providing assistance in select and limited clinical activities. Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.

Reports to: Manager, Emergency Department

Minimum Licensure/Certification Required (if applicable): Certificate of completion of medical secretary training in a vocational or hospital-based program preferred.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Previous experience as a unit secretary, administrative partner, Health Unit Coordinator, or CNA
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Computer skills Microsoft Office products.
  • Must have excellent communication skills (verbal, written) and fluency in the English language
  • Visual and auditory acuity
  • Ability to identify and distinguish color

Pay Range: $17.00-$22.29

Pay is based on experience, skills and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
