Manufacturing Technician

Sirius Staffing is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for a long-term position in Sunnyvale, CA. Pay $28 to $32/hour.

Schedule:

Training Period (First 23 Months): Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 3:30 PM

Post-Training Shift Assignment: 7:00 AM 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM 7:30 AM.

Technicians work on systems and maintain a supply of chemicals and gases to a semiconductor manufacturing environment that makes the chips used in electronic devices such as smartphones, LEDs, and Flat Screen TVs.

Technicians will be responsible for the safe operation of assigned chemical and/or gas distribution systems, with duties including:

Responsibilities:

• Handling and change-out of gas, chemical, and slurry containers
• Gas and chemical equipment troubleshooting and preventative/repair maintenance
• Computer operations to support job functions and customer needs
• Support of quality systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in maintenance or as an equipment technician or in a mechanical or electronic environment is a plus
• Previous experience with chemical and gas distribution equipment is helpful but not a must
• Proficient with MS Office Suite
• Military training is welcomed.
• Strong technical aptitude
• Excellent communication skills

Physical Attributes:

• Occasionally climbing ladders (utilizing fall protection)
• In some cases, Technicians must put on Supplied Contained Breathing Air Respirator while working with chemicals (approx. 10-15 minutes)
• Basic lifting (up to 40lbs)
• Bending of the knees and overhead reaching
• PPE made available to workers includes safety glasses, hard hat, ear plugs, chemical aprons, gloves, etc. Worker will be provided with vouchers to purchase safety boots, which they are required to wear.
