Industrial Cleaner – MPW Industrial Services
The purpose of this position is to perform hands‑on cleaning work for MPW FEM, providing manpower for all labor support jobs. This role supports the 3rd Shift Industrial Cleaner function.
Essential Functions
Arrive at work locations on time, demonstrating a considerate, friendly, and constructive attitude toward fellow employees and customers.
Perform cleaning work efficiently and safely as directed by team leaders, supervisors, or account manager, including but not limited to: ensuring manual work and production equipment operates efficiently and at high quality.
Report problem areas to team leader.
Maintain work area in a clean, neat, and orderly condition.
Complete daily summary information at shift end.
Submit process control related paperwork, shift logs, and inventory reports to team leader upon request.
Assist the team leader with on‑the‑job training of new hires and transfers when required.
Keep work area and break areas in the cleanest possible condition.
Be responsible for personal safety and help ensure the safety of others in the team.
Understand and adhere to all information located in the employee handbook.
Follow OSHA guidelines and MPW safety standards.
Ability to follow directions as provided by supervisor.
Report any and all issues to the supervisor immediately.
Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
Some High School Education acceptable.
Understanding of mechanical concepts and applications.
Professional oral and written interpersonal communications.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Physical Requirements
Ability to move up to 50 Lbs., with or without accommodation.
Ability to maintain a consistent workload that involves physical manual labor.
Ability to maintain alertness and fitness for duty.
Ability to position oneself for work conducted in and around confined spaces.
Ability to wear respirators in environments that may expose you to chemicals, fumes, etc.
Ability to maintain workloads that may include travel to a variety of states for days or weeks, and daily timeframes that could exceed the typical 8‑hour shift.
