Purpose of Position To plan and manage the overall testing activities for the CCBU (AMA) Test area. Directs and coordinates activities of technicians and associate staff in product testing and repair.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Implements and maintains a production process that complies with established internal documentation
Manages, directs, and coordinates the activities of the CCBU test staff; plans daily test operations, establishes priorities and sequences of product in test
Ensures products are tested according to company standards as outlined in Work Instructions
Coordinates test activities to ensure quantity and quality of products meets established specifications
Ensures all test area employees are trained on and understand each Work Instruction for their function
Ensures test employees have timely job‑specific and safety training to perform their duties
Ensures all required documentation for testing, training, etc. is completed timely and accurately
Directs the workflow in the CCBU test area and schedules work hours for assigned employees
Performs all supervisory functions of hiring, evaluating, disciplining and approving employee‑related transactions
Provides training to employees and gives performance feedback
Collects, monitors and maintains performance metrics
Supports the development and improvement of processes for test, service lines, warehouses and other service operations
Follows all Quality System and ISO requirements
Maintains a safe work environment through safety training, hazard identification and corrective action, and discipline when necessary for violation of company safety rules
Ensures all test area employees use proper lifting and material movement techniques at all times
Reports all work‑related injuries to Human Resources
Adheres to and supports Quanta’s Corporate Policies and Procedures
Works collaboratively with co‑workers, supervisors, and the public, maintaining a cooperative and diplomatic working relationship
Participates in continuous improvement initiatives and community‑related process improvements
Minimum Requirements
2 to 5 years experience in a high‑technical service/repair, electronic manufacturing or testing environment
Minimum 2 years supervisory experience
Experience in an electronic testing environment preferred
Experience writing procedures according to applicable regulations
Training and/or experience implementing manufacturing and/or service processes
B.S. degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Production and Operations Management or related field preferred
Certificate in manufacturing or process improvement preferred
Other Skills & Abilities
Computer literate in a Windows environment: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Internet
Technical troubleshooting and repair skills for servers or similar products
Flexibility to change gears with little notice
Basic math skills
Legible handwriting
Detail oriented
