About Long Island Soccer Club
Long Island Soccer Club is the leading youth soccer organization on Long Island, and the sole provider of both MLS NEXT and Girls Academy (GA) pathways.
Our experienced coaching staff is dedicated to helping athletes grow both on and off the field. With high-quality facilities across Long Island including Suffolk Community College - Brentwood, Selden, and Riverhead, Bethpage State Park, Hofstra University, Adelphi University, St Joseph's University, and Mitchel Field.
We are committed to developing athletes through a holistic approach focused on technical, tactical, physical, and psychosocial growth, offering a competitive environment that challenges but does not overwhelm.
About the role
Long Island Soccer Club Academy East is seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Coach to lead and develop youth soccer teams within our academy. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of the game, a professional approach to coaching, and a commitment to fostering both athletic and personal growth in players.
What you’ll do
Coach and manage assigned academy teams during practices, games, and tournaments.
Develop age‑appropriate training sessions that emphasize technical skills, tactical awareness, and teamwork.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and competitive environment for players.
Communicate effectively with players, parents, and academy staff.
Support the club’s mission of long‑term player development and team success.
Qualifications
Prior coaching experience (club, school, or academy level preferred).
USSF coaching license or equivalent certification (preferred but not required).
Strong knowledge of soccer tactics, training methods, and player development.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by team schedules.
