The Mechanic Helper will ensure Company aircraft, vehicles and facilities are presentable to customers and support Aircraft Maintenance.
Responsibilities
Performs daily maintenance and fluid checks on ground service equipment.
Cleaning interiors and exteriors of airplanes using established techniques and materials.
Cleaning or stripping aircraft components.
Cleaning facilities, including floors, windows, and restrooms by mopping, scrubbing, washing, etc.
Keeping work benches and tables clean and cleared.
Assist in maintaining cargo loading and restraint equipment.
Keeping tools and supplies organized and clean.
Assist in the shipping, receiving, pickup, and deliveries, issuing, and counting of the aircraft parts inventory.
Assist in operation and repair of facility systems such as plumbing, heating, and general structure repair/modification.
Assist in maintaining operational readiness of aircraft deicing fluids and equipment.
Assist maintenance personnel in their duties in all phases of aircraft maintenance and care.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
MUST have GED or High School diploma.
Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
Must be able to pass a pre‑employment DOT/FAA drug test.
Prior applicable experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
Position may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing up to 8–10 hours a day.
Requires frequent and routine lifting or moving items weighing over 70 pounds.
Desired Skills & Abilities
Excellent listening skills.
Ability to take directions, be flexible and stay on task.
Ability to analyze and solve problems.
Ability to safely operate power equipment such as buffers and table saws.
Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Good mechanical aptitude.
Must be neat and organized.
