Starting Salary: $62,000 - $70,000 per year based on experience.

Responsibilities

Lead the instructional process for High School students with individualized education plans (IEPs).

Create inclusive, collaborative environment that involves students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.

Establish and reinforce PBIS strategies, behavior expectations, reward systems, and consequences.

Track and document student progress, maintain accurate files, and generate reports.

Deliver differentiated instruction individually or collaboratively in a co‑teaching environment to meet IEP goals.

Adapt curriculum content and instructional approaches to accommodate diverse learning styles.

Utilize varied instructional methods, resources, and educational software.

Manage student caseload responsibilities, including developing and implementing IEPs.

Prepare detailed daily lesson plans and organize instructional materials aligned with standards.

Maintain safe, organized, welcoming classroom environment, manage supplies effectively.

Stay informed on current research‑based instructional practices, trends, and developments in special education.

Respond constructively to feedback, pursue ongoing professional growth.

Support school community by performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in education, special education, or a closely related field.

Licensed New Jersey teaching credential or in process of obtaining.

Licensed New Jersey special education instruction credential or in process of obtaining.

Prior experience in curriculum development, differentiation, and instruction, preferably in an alternative, special education, or behavioral health program setting.

Prior experience and knowledge in special education services and compliance, particularly for students with learning disabilities, emotional disturbance, and/or challenging behaviors.

Prior experience and high knowledge of working with students with IEPs.

Proven success in developing and implementing effective education plans for at‑risk students with diverse needs.

Proficiency in providing motivation and having critical conversations with students that help them toward realistic goals.

Advanced oral and written communication, organization, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem solving, and decision‑making ability.

Ability to think and act quickly and calmly in an emergency and make independent decisions.

Ability to obtain and maintain certification in company‑approved crisis management training.

Knowledge of relevant technology, including experience with instructional technology, Microsoft Office Suite, database entry, and basic office equipment.
