Position Summary Reports directly to the Pit Boss and is responsible for the operation of assigned tables during the assigned shift and all personnel assigned to those tables. Responsible for adhering to the System of Internal Controls and federal cash reporting requirements. The Floor Supervisor has the ability to sign requests for fill/credit, fill/credit slips, table opener/closer, temporary opener/closer, and federal cash reporting documents and access to the pit podium, pit area, table banks, cards, and dice in play.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Oversees total operation of the assigned pit area.

Communicates information to incoming relief.

Complies with all dealing procedures.

Must have a total understanding of the procedure manual for games supervised.

Ensures maximum game protection.

Responsible for dealing rotation.

Protects all sensitive equipment (cards, dice, shoes, etc.).

Ensures strict compliance with Sandia Casino System of Internal Controls.

Trains and helps develop supervisor’s skills.

Responsible for accurately tracking bankroll of players and player buy‑in, average bet, and time played.

Counsels and works with dealers on procedural problems.

Provides excellence in customer service and ensures the same of all employees.

Assists Pit Boss in completing all duties.

Deals effectively with customer problems/complaints.

Maintains proper bankrolls for all tables assigned.

Accurately determines table win/loss.

Serves as a role model for subordinates.

Assists with tournaments and promotions.

Accurately tracks table drops.

Evaluates subordinates and completes performance appraisals.

Promotes Player’s Club and signs new players up for card membership.

Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned or necessary.

Punctual and regular attendance is essential for all team members and is expected to report to work based upon the assigned schedule each day in accordance with the Attendance Policy for Pueblo Sandia.

Additional Responsibilities

Provides immediate supervision to front line Team Members, sets business parameters and delegates day‑to‑day tasks to achieve operational objectives.

Provides guidance, training, counseling, recognition, and ongoing feedback, primarily to non‑exempt staff members.

Delegates and assigns duties to the reporting staff in a clear and concise manner and sets expectations for performance excellence.

May support management in the completion of administrative responsibilities.

Maintains a positive attitude and outlook and encourages the team to gain support and create a positive morale.

Creates an environment of teamwork, by communicating common goals, and showing appreciation for Team Members contributions.

Demonstrates relevant experience in the industry or field, often including previous roles in leadership or supervisory positions.

Key Performance Indicators This position has Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) identified as a measurement of success. KPI’s will be shared with all team members who work in this job title and feedback will be provided regarding the successful completion of the KPI’s as part of the performance review process.

Ability to supervise and direct the work of employees.

Ability to work odd and unusual hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Ability to exercise personnel management practices, to be firm in dealing with employees and exhibit a strong motivational commitment to the organization.

Ability to write and prepare standard reports and documents.

Knowledge of all Table Games rules and regulations.

Qualifications Education and Experience Required:

High School Diploma, GED certification or equivalent.

Two (2) years progressive responsible experience in casino Table Games.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.

Note: Relevant work experience or education may be substituted to satisfy education and/or work experience.

License/Certifications/Registrations

Must be able to obtain and maintain the required STGC Gaming License.

Will require a pre-employment and random drug screening.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions Physical activities include walking, seeing, sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and talking. Work is performed indoors and may require overtime, long hours, and stressful conditions. Hazard exposure includes smoke, dust, odors, elevated noise levels. Tasks involve walking, standing for long periods, sitting, crouching, and working on uneven or inclined surfaces. Employees must be able to work long hours under stressful conditions.
