General Laborer

to join our team.

Job Summary The

General Laborer

is responsible for safely handling lumber products, verifies material meets customer requirements and company expectations. The General Laborer reports to the Floor Supervisors.

Responsibilities

Moves and secures lumber products and other materials according to instructions.

Stacks finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements.

Label material based on the following specifications: type, size, and count. Maintains a clean and organized work area.

Bands, bundles, and secures material, including attaching corner protectors and loading sticks.

Follows instructions for stacking material properly and according to company policy and customer requirements.

Assists with other work areas by moving material and loading and unloading material carts.

Participates in safety and other programs and meetings.

Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience

Manufacturing or lumber experience

Working knowledge of basic math

Must be at least 18 years of age

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Stand for long periods of time
