About the Role This is an exciting opportunity to shape the educational journey of fifth-grade students, fostering their growth in core subjects while encouraging critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity. You will be responsible for creating a positive, engaging, and challenging learning environment that meets the diverse needs of all students.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement an engaging Grade 5 curriculum aligned with state standards.
Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles.
Assess student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback.
Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student success.
Maintain a well-managed and respectful classroom environment.
Qualifications
Required: Valid 020 Certification (Elementary/Intermediate Education).
Prior experience teaching at the elementary or intermediate level is highly desirable.
Strong content knowledge in Grade 5 subjects (especially ELA & Social Studies).
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
A commitment to ongoing professional development.
Proper Maine DOE certification and background check required for all positions
