Arts Council Grants Committee – Volunteer Opportunity
The Grants Committee is an advisory group of community volunteers, including some board members, dedicated to supporting the arts and artists in Santa Cruz County. Committee members help guide the grants program, provide strategic insights, and review grant applications, making funding recommendations to the board.
Commitment & Time Requirements:
Term: 2 years (renewable)
Meetings: Every other month via Zoom (approx. 2 hours); two in-person meetings per year (longer, with meal provided)
Grant Reviews: Each cycle, members review and score 10–15 grant applications (approx. 10 hours per cycle; two cycles per year)
Estimated Total Time: ~30–35 hours per year
Compensation (Optional Stipends):
$20 per regular meeting; $40 if meeting exceeds 2 hours (not available for board members or paid staff)
$100 per grant cycle for reviewing applications
