Job Summary The Apprentice Plumber assists licensed plumbers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial plumbing systems. This position is designed to develop technical skills, job-site professionalism, and code knowledge through hands‑on training and supervision.
Job Duties
Assist licensed plumbers with installation, repair, and maintenance of residential and commercial plumbing systems
Load, unload, and organize tools, equipment, and materials for job sites
Cut, assemble, and install piping systems (PVC, PEX, copper, cast iron, etc.) under supervision
Perform basic plumbing tasks such as drain cleaning, fixture replacement, and leak repairs as skills develop
Observe and learn proper diagnosis of plumbing issues and repair procedures
Follow all safety protocols, company policies, and job-site regulations
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environmentHand tools and materials to lead plumber and anticipate job needs
Assist with trenching, excavation, and pipe exposure when required
Properly use and care for company tools, vehicles, and equipment
Communicate professionally with supervisors, coworkers, and customers
Minimum Requirements
Apprentice plumbers must have applicable certifications and licensing required by the state of Texas.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
