Afternoon Shift/Elementary School

Job Classification: Maintenance

Qualifications:

Valid Minnesota Class B License with passenger and school bus endorsement or ability to obtain within 90 working days.

Knowledge of methods and materials used in custodial work and building maintenance.

Physically capable of assigned custodial duties.

Ability to work effectively with public and others.

Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Ability to make minor building and equipment repairs.

Ability and willingness to work overtime as necessary.

Graduation from high school or equivalency.

Ability to read, write and interpret information.

Primary Duties:

Snow removal from the building area.

Building and custodial maintenance as appropriate or as assigned.

Routine cleaning, sweeping, mopping, dusting, waxing, and washing.

Locks and unlocks doors as appropriate.

Maintains the school grounds to keep them free from rubbish and trash.

Sets up equipment, bleachers, chairs, etc., as necessary.

Other duties as assigned.
