About Becker District/School Becker Public School District is about 149 square miles and includes 4 schools that help support and educate approximately 2,800 students.
Becker’s Transportation department Becker’s Transportation department is looking for a patient, caring and supportive individual who will be a positive team player while assisting safely within the transportation department. This position is for the employee to work each day while students are in school.
Job Summary
Safely operate school buses while transporting district students to and from school.
Conduct daily pre-trips for all type III vehicles for student transportation.
Ability to clearly communicate and follow directions with district employees, students, and parents.
Be a team player with the transportation department, and the district as a whole.
Follow all school district policies as well as federal, state, and local laws.
This position will be directed by the transportation office staff and will assist with routes and any other needs for the school district, as assigned.
Hours
This is a 3 hour and 30 minute position, Monday through Friday during the school year.
Start and end times will vary based on the needs of Becker Public Schools, and the route.
Requirements/Licensure
Clean driving record, Class B Minnesota Commercial Driver’s License with general knowledge of school buses and passenger endorsements without the air brake restriction (all district vehicles require air brake).
If a candidate does not have these endorsements, the transportation department is willing to train the right candidate. Candidate cannot be hired until all endorsements have been successfully obtained. Transportation Employee Agreement is available on our District website.
Salary Drivers are paid by the route which equals up to one hour forty five minutes, step one = $39.00 and step five = $51.77. Becker Public Schools do grant a step increase for experience of a new employee with all required endorsements / licenses.
