Adventureland, 3200 Adventureland drive, Altoona, IA 50009, United States of America**Supervisory Duties:** Lead by example, attitude, and as a representation of Adventureland's core values performing the essential duties of all **Departmental Duties:** Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of park attractions and safety procedures, assisting or operating rides and maintaining a safe aquatic environment when necessary. Protect guest belongings, handle lost and found items and cooperate with other departments to enhance the guest experience. Conduct audits of Lifeguards to ensure safe operations and fulfill additional duties as assigned. All other duties assigned by leadership**Education and Experience:** No education requirements for this position2-3 years of previous work experience in the Rides or Aquatics departments is required. Previous ride operation experience from other Amusement/Theme Park employers will also be considered.2+ years of previous supervisory experience preferredAbility to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.**Requirements:** Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, open to close Ability to comply with all uniform policiesMust possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional mannerAbility to inspire, motivate, and successfully lead a large number of LifeguardsAbility to handle high-pressure situations, meet the demands of constant deadlines, and coordinate multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.Must possess strong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a fast-paced team**Physical Requirements:** Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of the workday Ability to remain sedentary for periods of time, while using a computer Ability to frequently stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders Must be able to meet all program requirements and successfully pass the Ellis & Associates lifeguard training program Ability to aid and physically move guests of varying heights and weights Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 30 pounds or more Ability to climb or descend stairs for some of the rides and attractionsThis role will predominantly be based outdoors in the park environmentWorking at **Adventureland**is about making people happy!
