Location:
Various – Substitute Position
Salary:
$16.13 per hour (Substitute wage)
Directly Responsible To:
Building Principal
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or GED.
Other Qualifications as desired by district (Applicants with these qualifications will be given preference)
Experience in working with students of various ages.
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
Record of dependability, flexibility, and regular attendance.
Establish and maintain a professional and positive working relationship with students, parents, staff and the general public.
Desire to be a role model for students.
Maintain confidentiality.
Primary Function To assist with the instruction of students.
Other Functions and Responsibilities
Assist the teacher with instruction and activities within the classroom.
Supervise students on or about the school premises as assigned by the principal or designee.
Work as a member of a team of teachers and paraeducators.
Assist in maintaining records and process paperwork as needed.
Communicate with parents.
Other duties as assigned by the principal.
Expectations for Continued Employment
Employment is contingent upon passing a Washington State Patrol and Federal Bureau Investigation fingerprint screening examination and background check.
Maintain consistent presence at assigned worksite and regular work hours.
Comply with all District policies and operational procedures.
Must maintain punctuality and regular attendance.
Obtain a CPR and First Aid Card if needed.
Attend job specific trainings as required.
