TBD Gurnick Academy is seeking an experienced Radiography Imaging Didactic Instructor, Full -Time for our Associate of Science in Radiologic Technology Program at our Sacramento, CA Campus. The Radiography Instructor is responsible for teaching the courses, evaluating students, and conducting labs. Salary Range, Full-time: $100,000-$120,000 per year Health insurance Vision insurance Life insurance Long term/short term disability Employee assistance program Flexible Spending Account (Health FSA, Dependency Care, Transit and Parking) Health Savings Account (with enrollment in a qualified medical plan) Paid time off 401K Essential Duties and Responsibilities Teach Radiography related courses including but not limited to patient care, radiographic procedures w/lab, radiographic physics and imaging exposure, radiation biology and protection, pharmacology and venipuncture, CT, Mammography, cross-sectional anatomy, etc. Maintain accurate updated attendance and grades for all in their courses Work with students in the laboratory to assist them in developing skill proficiencies Identify and refer at-risk students to specific academic support services Ensure course and program learning outcomes are delivered as defined by the syllabus Provide annual documentation of continuing professional growth in educational theory or techniques and in field; instruction in educational theory or techniques may include such things as college courses, seminars or in-service on topics such as learning theory, curriculum design, test construction, teaching methodology, or assessment techniques Attend regularly scheduled program meetings, academic in-service workshops, and college-wide meetings Adhere to and publicly support academic policies and procedures, including but not limited to, the faculty handbook and catalog Assist Program Director in program evaluation and planning Suitably challenge, engage, serve and communicate with students to encourage their participation and learning while maintaining mutual value and respect Respond to student questions and concerns on a timely basis Attend graduation ceremonies each year Complete and maintain an Individual Development Plan/Summary Attend regularly scheduled in-services and discipline specific professional development activities Complete annual appraisal with Program Director Maintain credentials as required by accrediting councils/agencies and regulatory bodies Requirements A minimum of 2 years of direct full-time experience in radiologic technology Possession of current Radiologic Technologist (RT) credential Graduation from an accredited program or an otherwise recognized training entity (e.g., hospital-based program) in the specialty field or subject area Teaching experience is preferred Technology adept to successfully navigate online LMS and learning online platforms to guide student success Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Google suite Expertise in interpersonal and oral presentation/written communication skills, as demonstrated by: data sheet, diplomas, degrees, transcripts, certifications, CVs/Resumes, and in personal interview is a leading Bay Area private healthcare college offering an extensive variety of nursing and allied healthcare programs such as: Vocational Nurse, and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN to BSN pathway) as well as healthcare programs: Associate of Science in Physical Therapist Assistant, Associate of Science in Occupational Therapy Assistant, Ultrasound Technology, MRI, Radiologic Technology, and Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Medical Imaging.
