Responsibilities
Assist skilled craftsmen with fabrication, welding, installation, or maintenance of industrial systems.
Transport and handle materials, tools, and equipment efficiently.
Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, or shaping components as directed.
Assist with installation and assembly of industrial systems or machinery.
Operate hand tools, power tools, and industrial machinery safely under supervision.
Mix, pour, and apply materials such as concrete, mortar, or epoxy coatings.
Assemble and disassemble scaffolding and other temporary structures.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines, wearing appropriate PPE and reporting hazards.
Perform quality checks to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Clean and maintain tools, machinery, and work areas.
Troubleshoot basic material, tool, or equipment issues.
Mentor less experienced Laborer I team members.
Help maintain project timelines by completing tasks efficiently.
Perform other tasks as assigned by project supervisors.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
2+ years of experience in an industrial or construction environment.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and industrial equipment.
Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints or project plans.
Knowledge of basic industrial safety practices and ability to follow safety guidelines.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
Good physical endurance; ability to perform manual labor tasks.
Must be able to lift heavy materials, work in confined spaces, and handle a variety of work environments.
Preferred Skills
Experience in a specialized craft area such as refractory, fabrication, or scaffolding.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
Basic first aid or CPR certification.
Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements
Work primarily on construction sites exposed to outdoor elements and varying weather.
Work in confined spaces or elevated areas depending on the project.
Perform physical labor, including lifting and moving equipment or materials.
Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends as project schedules require.
