PURPOSE OF THE POSITION To be fluent in all Debone production work on a rotation basis.
Essential Position Responsibilities
Rotates positions as needed to include cutting breasts, wings; pulling skin; using a saw; loading product; tray packing and any other position in Debone.
Participates as a member of the Team.
Participates in the ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies; coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members.
Attends appropriate team meetings.
Fosters strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues (e.g., direction, annual plan, budget, policy changes, etc.) and brings areas lacking cohesiveness to the team leader for support and resolution.
Works proactively to identify and resolve issues, reinforcing actions needed to achieve synergy within the larger organization.
Is familiar with Simmons' established operating systems (quality, security, office environment, company policies, LEAN) and understands the role of this position in supporting these systems; communicates concerns and improvement ideas.
Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives; this description is intended to guide activities and is not a limit on creativity or required work.
Physical Activities Employee must be able to work in a cold environment down to 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Employee required to stand/move about for 8-10 hours a day and must be able to perform required duties including reaching, standing, moving about, lifting, bending, twisting of the neck, simple grasping, fine manipulation, reaching below shoulder level, repetitive motion of shoulders, arms, & hands, use of vision and hearing. Occasional bending and twisting at the waist, pushing/pulling, talking.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Will use waterproof footwear, gloves, apron, hearing protection, hair net(s) and other protective equipment as needed or required.

Industry Experience Preference for poultry or food processing organization.
