Benton County Electric System – Journeyman Lineman Benton County Electric System is seeking experienced Journeyman Linemen to join our dedicated team in Camden, Tennessee. As a public power utility, BCES is committed to providing safe, reliable, and affordable electricity while serving our community with integrity and professionalism. The Journeyman Lineman is responsible for the construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead and underground electrical distribution systems. Daily duties include setting poles, stringing wire, installing and maintaining transformers and other line equipment, and performing service restorations during power outages and storm events. Candidates must be able to safely operate and maintain utility equipment such as bucket trucks, digger derricks, and related line tools. This position requires working in a variety of weather conditions and responding promptly to after‑hours emergencies as part of a rotating on‑call schedule.

To be considered, applicants must have a minimum of five years of electrical linework experience and completion of an accredited apprenticeship program. A valid Tennessee Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required, and candidates must reside or be willing to relocate within 30 minutes of the BCES Warehouse at 925 Highway 70 East in Camden. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, dependability, and community service.
