POSITION OVERVIEW
Youth Basketball Referee | YMCA Youth Sports (Creative Design)
This position is responsible for performing referee duties for the assigned basketball games.
Job Location:
Various gyms in Waukee and West Des Moines
Shifts Available:
Saturdays 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM; times may vary
Pay Range:
$12.00 - $15.00/hour based on experience and skills
Closing Date for Applications:
January 1, 2026 - Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Referee basketball games.
Enforce the rules and regulations of basketball.
Assist site supervisor in maintaining an orderly and fun atmosphere for assigned game(s).
Maintain game records and information as directed by the supervisor.
Ensure safety is a priority at all times.
Know all emergency procedures and be able to demonstrate them.
Complete accident/incident reports as necessary and submit them to the supervisor.
Report specific problems or needs to the supervisor or designated staff person.
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor or designated staff person.
Demonstrate and support the objectives of the Association as embodied in the mission statement and values.
