Job Summary:
Conduct client and employee training via classroom, webinar, or other means. Create training agendas, guides, templates, webinar recordings, and other training collateral as needed. Provide guidance and follow-up assistance to training participants. Create, edit, and update user guides and other proprietary materials as needed. Provide supportive assistance to other departments as directed by the training team lead or senior management.
Local candidates are expected to be onsite at least 2 times a week at GSI’s headquarters in Palm Harbor, Florida.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct software application training for Geographic Solutions’ clients and employees
Create, edit, and maintain training courseware and peripheral materials such as course agendas, training guides, and training videos
Create, edit, and maintain training plan documentation to meet project requirements
Identify and evaluate the training needs of Geographic Solutions’ clients and employees; design training to meet those needs
Prepare and test websites for client and employee training events; identify, document, and help resolve website issues and/or data anomalies
Develop pre- and post-training assessments, course quizzes, and course evaluations
Manage and prioritize tasks and project deliverables in a timely and efficient manner
Edit written materials such as user guides and feature enhancement documentation
Requirements Work Experience / Knowledge:
Conduct participant training (preferably in a computer lab setting) for a minimum of 2 years
Troubleshoot and overcome common technical challenges associated with live training events
Speak and write clearly, concisely, and in line with industry standards
Review requirements, specifications, and other technical documents and design training to meet the needs/level of the intended audience
Work with developers, business analysts, and other technical staff to manage training deliverables
Ability to manage training deliverables for multiple projects simultaneously
Experience using the Microsoft Office suite (preferably Word and PPT) is required
Experience using MS Teams, GoToMeeting or other webinar/phone conferencing tools is required
Experience using eLearning authoring tools including Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, and TechSmith Camtasia is preferred
Qualifications / Certifications
Unemployment Insurance experience is required
Minimum two years of professional training experience is required
AA or BA in instructional technology, education, or other related field
Extensive field experience may substitute for academic requirement
Special Requirements
Willing to work irregular hours as needed
Willing to travel
Willing to accept various projects and tasks as needed
Willing to conduct product demonstrations as needed Must possess a valid driver’s license
