Activities Assistant

Full-time opportunities available
Schedule
9 AM - 5 PM
5 Days per week, including rotating weekends
$15-$22 an hour
Responsibilities
Facilitating daily, weekly and monthly events to encourage socialization and recreation for facility residents
Observing residents throughout the event and assisting with coloring, crafts, and other needs
Reporting medical concerns to supervisors if needed
Crafting, coloring, decorating, playing games, etc.
Qualifications
Prior recreation/activities experience in a nursing home with dementia experience preferred
An ability to demonstrate the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served
High School Diploma or GED
