Summary Medical Receptionists directly interact with patients, collecting and providing information concerning the patients’ medical care. Receptionists also work closely with other staff to ensure effective communication.
Job Responsibilities
Answer multi‑line phone calls and greet patients and vendors.
Sign patients in and out, collecting insurance information and other required data.
Enter data into EHR systems and schedule appointments on the phone and at checkout desks.
Collect outstanding balances and copays.
Provide patients with support and guidance as needed.
Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following established standards and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent certificate.
Prior experience with medical terminology is a plus.
Ability to learn related center tasks and assist management and physicians.
