Position Summary The Porter/Driver supports the operations team by transporting customers and vehicles to and from designated locations, assisting with vehicle cleanliness and detailing prior to delivery, and helping maintain a clean, organized, and professional shop environment.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Safely transport customer vehicles, tools, and/or customers to designated locations
Maintain a clean, professional appearance of all customer vehicles
Assist Service Advisors with daily guest needs
Greet customers and guests and guide them to the appropriate team member or location
Sanitize vehicles, workspaces, guest lounges, and high‑touch areas
Assist with general shop and exterior grounds maintenance
Perform daily cleaning duties (sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal)
Clean, stock, and maintain restrooms
Maintain cleanliness of public and work areas using clean‑as‑you‑go practices
Communicate effectively with the operations team to support efficiency and productivity
Assist other areas of operations as needed to ensure optimal customer service
Complete end‑of‑task breakdown by cleaning areas and returning equipment to proper locations
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be at least 21 years of age
Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
Ability to pass a background check
Prior automotive industry experience preferred but not required
Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills
Mechanical aptitude a plus
Ability to work independently and in a fast‑paced environment
Flexible and willing to assist with varying tasks as shop needs change
Reliable, responsible, and team‑oriented with a positive attitude
Calm, courteous, and customer‑focused under pressure
