We are seeking a Science Teacher to join our Chelsea campus. The role involves planning and delivering science instruction, assessing student progress, and serving as an advisor and mentor.
Job Summary The Science Teacher will be responsible for teaching high‑school science at the Chelsea campus, planning lessons and curricula, administering assessments, collecting and analyzing data, and providing unwavering support to students to help them achieve academic excellence. In addition to teaching, the position serves as an advisor and mentor to scholars.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver effective science lessons aligned with curriculum guidelines
Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage students in the learning process
Assess student learning and provide timely feedback to guide progress
Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters collaboration and respect
Establish clear expectations and routines for student behavior
Utilize technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences
Serve as an advisor and mentor to students, providing academic and personal guidance
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve instructional practices
Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills
Communicate with parents and guardians about student progress and challenges
Requirements
Prior experience teaching science at the high‑school level (preferred)
Familiarity with best practices in science instruction and assessment
Knowledge of current educational trends and research in science education
Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
Strong organizational and time‑management skills
Commitment to ongoing professional growth and learning
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and the school community
Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in science education or related field
Relevant teaching certification or licensure
Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in the subject matter
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to engage and inspire students in the learning process
Passion for education and commitment to student success
Ability to create a positive, inclusive classroom environment
Familiarity with technology and its integration into the classroom
