The City of Coralville is accepting applications for Pool Manager for the Coralville Community Aquatic Center. Under the general direction and supervision of the Aquatic Supervisor, you will be responsible for overall supervision of staff, pool facility, maintenance, and safety of patrons. The Pool Manager will represent the City of Coralville in a professional manner, be a positive role model, and an effective leader.
General duties will include conducting staff trainings, scheduling staff, maintaining safe water chemistry, evaluate staff, provide professional leadership in an emergency situation, working along with staff and provide positive customer service.
Work schedule can be up 40 hours which includes days, nights, and weekends. The pool season is from May 31 – Aug. 20; but must be available for trainings, orientations, and pre-summer clean up in April/May. Summer commitment requires working until Aug. 20.
Applications will be considered immediately. The position will remain open until filled.
Qualifications Must have a Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Training, standard First Aid, CPR-PR certificate. Must be 18 years of age or older, high school diploma or equivalent, professional and positive manner with all circumstances. A minimum of 1 year experience as an assistant pool manager of similar aquatic center recommended. A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a lifeguard required.
Special Requirements Not required but of great benefit would be Certified Pool Operators certificate.
