As a 2nd Shift Painter, you’ll contribute to the production of high-quality HVAC equipment by applying industrial coatings and finishes with precision and care. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in industrial painting and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. What You Will Do

As a 2nd Shift Painter, you will: Apply various types of industrial paints, thinners, and safety solvents to units and components using proper mixing and application techniques.

Perform mixing procedures to specifications to paint units and/or their components with proper application techniques.

Perform hydro testing.

Perform housekeeping and other duties as required.

Physical/Mental Requirements

Lifting 50 lbs. (occasionally), standing (constantly), walking (frequently), bending (frequently), climbing (frequently), crawling (occasionally), reaching (frequently), grasping (frequently), sitting (occasionally), connecting (frequently), pulling (frequently), reading prints (frequently), and exercising judgment (frequently).

Must understand and follow safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Vision corrected to 20/20.

Handling equipment (frequently).

Environmental Factors

Manufacturing environment – Exposure to noise, dirt, dust, cold/heat (indoor), and cold/heat (outdoor). Job hazards of working around heavy equipment and machinery. Tools and Equipment Used

Forklift, spray paint equipment What We Look For

Required: 2–4 years of experience with industrial paints including enamel, zinc, carboline, amerlock, epoxy, and thinners

Knowledge of hazardous waste handling, storage documentation, and environmental safety practices

Knowledgeable in the preparation of material, mixtures and equipment

Ability to read measuring devices and perform math at a level normally acquired through the completion of high school

Ability to maintain a clean and safe work area and/or equipment as required

Good hand dexterity required to perform production

As a condition of employment, active participation in a Continuous Improvement Team is required

Preferred: Experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heavy equipment and machinery.

Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
