MASTERS SWIM COACH

Monday, Wednesday, Friday - 5 am to 6 am

JOB SUMMARY The Masters Swim Coach is responsible for leading structured, safe, and engaging swim practices for adult swimmers of varying abilities, from fitness-focused participants to competitive Masters athletes. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Designing and conducting swim workouts focused on stroke technique, endurance, speed, and overall fitness for adult swimmers.
Providing individualized feedback, motivation, and instruction to help swimmers meet personal fitness and competitive goals.
Ensuring a positive, inclusive, and supportive training environment that promotes lifelong fitness, teamwork, and enjoyment of swimming.
Maintaining swimmer safety and enforcing facility and program policies at all times.
Attending and leading all assigned practices and supporting swimmers at Masters swim meets and special events as applicable.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Previous competitive swimming experience and/or coaching experience with adult or Masters-level swimmers.
Ability to plan and adapt workouts for swimmers of varying skill levels and fitness goals.
Responsible, dependable, and well-organized.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with participants, facility staff, and program administrators.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
Masters Coach Certification or Level 1 ASCA Certified Swim Coach (USA Swimming Foundations of Coaching 101 & 201 or equivalent).
Coaches Safety Training for Swim Coaches.
CPR and First Aid Certification.
Athlete Protection Training Completion (found on usaswimming.org or usms.org).
Background check through USA Swimming or U.S. Masters Swimming (USMS).
Certifications must be obtained within 45 days of hire if not previously certified.
Employment in this position is conditional upon passing a pre-employment background and drug test.
