Position Memory Care Support Partner (Part-Time)
Location Hilliard, Ohio
Wage Starting wage: $19-$21 per hour
Shift Schedule Friday & Saturday 7:00am to 3:00pm
Responsibilities
Be an “Advocate of Empathy”: responsible for understanding the importance of empathy and creating human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
Be a Patient Observer: discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are. Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience to ensure success.
Be a Master of the Mise en Scène: responsible for setting the stage for a successful day by preparing the dining room for breakfast, setting up the library for events, and preparing resident rooms for nighttime routines.
Be a Life Partner: partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep.
Be excellent at documenting resident care and changes in condition.
Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Possess a positive and energetic attitude and love residents.
Have computer skills to print documents and enter resident information.
Be active: standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
Be able to lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds frequently.
Assist residents with sitting, standing, walking, and after a fall.
Be criminally cleared.
