Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinates work schedules and gives work direction to the night custodial staff
Provides information and training to coworkers to help them accomplish their tasks
Secures the building at the appropriate times, including doors, windows, security lights, and the security system
Cleans and maintains assigned areas and assists in cleaning other areas when short handed
Cleans, monitors, and maintains boilers, vents, and air handling equipment
Maintains a proper inventory of custodial cleaning products, supplies, and equipment to ensure a continuous, efficient delivery of custodial services
Location Edina Community Center
Hours Per Day 8 hours/day
Daily Schedule 3:00pm – 11:30pm, M-F
Days Per Year 261 (12-month position)
Rate Of Pay The wage for this position ranges from $31.42 to $32.82 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. New candidates will start at the entry-level rate of $31.42 per hour.

All employees participate in the state’s largest pension program, the Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA). In addition, employees can participate in the 403(b) retirement program, with eligibility for a district match based on the terms and conditions outlined in the employee work agreement. Eligible employees also receive paid time off in accordance with the provisions outlined in the employee work agreement.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
At least two years related supervisory experience
Basic computer skills
Mechanical aptitude
Knowledge of proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials in compliance with state and federal laws
Licensure Requirements
Minimum of a MN Special Boilers License. (This position will eventually require a 2nd Class C Boilers License if one is not held at the time of hire).
