A technician capable of diagnosing and repairing most systems of the automobile with little guidance from an A-Tech, Shop Foreman, or Team Leader. Efficient and effective at on-the-job learning to apply new vehicles and technology when concerns arise. Improved diagnostic skills through training & experience, and competent in complex mechanical repairs.
Responsibilities Diagnose and repair vehicle systems independently. Apply on-the-job learning to new vehicles and technology. Maintain high diagnostic standards through training & experience. Serve as the communicator and liaison between the customer and technician, ensuring the customer’s needs are understood. Initiate automotive services and repairs by ascertaining vehicle performance problems, verifying warranty and service contract coverage, developing estimates, writing repair orders, and maintaining customer records.
Qualifications
High School diploma.
1-3 years of automotive service experience.
Strong diagnostic skills and ability to perform complex mechanical repairs.

Hyundai Technical Training Equivalency Assessment Program Hyundai welcomes experienced technicians from other OEMs. The program allows technicians with training from an industry-recognized source, other than Hyundai, to test out of certain Hyundai instructor-led technical training courses, provided they meet certain requirements.
