Description An Automotive Detailer is responsible for cleaning, polishing, and maintaining the appearance of vehicles, both inside and out, ensuring they are presented in their best condition. This role involves performing a variety of tasks to ensure vehicles are spotless and ready for sale or customer delivery.
Responsibilities
Exterior Detailing:
Wash, dry, wax, and polish vehicles to maintain a spotless and shiny appearance. Clean tires and rims and apply finishing products for a professional look.
Interior Detailing:
Vacuum, shampoo, and clean all interior surfaces, including carpets, seats, and upholstery. Clean and sanitize the dashboard, console, and door panels.
Window and Glass Cleaning:
Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces to ensure a clear, streak-free finish.
Attention to Detail:
Inspect vehicles thoroughly to identify any areas that require additional cleaning or touch-ups, ensuring they meet quality standards.
Product Knowledge:
Use appropriate detailing products and tools for optimal results. Stay updated on cleaning techniques and materials.
Vehicle Maintenance:
Ensure cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment are well-maintained. Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to the supervisor.
Customer Service:
Ensure vehicles are cleaned and ready for sale in a timely manner, providing assistance to customers when needed regarding vehicle appearance.
Qualifications
Previous experience in automotive detailing or a related field is preferred.
Knowledge of automotive cleaning techniques, products, and tools.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Valid
driver’s license and the ability to drive various types of vehicles.
Ability to stand, bend, and twist in small spaces.
Compensation $40,000 - $60,000 yearly DOE
