Summary:
Floor Staff team members are classified based on individual theatre needs and/or employee availability to provide exceptional guest service. They may be scheduled to work in the Box Office, Concession Stand, or as an Usher and represent Regal consistently with the company’s mission and policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Regular and consistent attendance
Handling emergency situations when called upon
General cleaning duties
Compliance with company dress code
Box Office
Operating POS system and ensuring accurate cash drawer, credit card, traveler’s check, gift card, and coupon processing
Upselling/suggestive selling of Premium Viewing Experience (3D, RPX, IMAX)
Promoting the Regal Crown Club program
Ensuring tickets are sold in accordance with the MPAA rating system and company policy
Responding to phone calls and guest questions in a manner consistent with our guest service philosophy
Concession
Operating POS system and managing cash drawer, credit cards, traveler’s checks, gift cards, and coupon redemption
Maintaining concession stock inventory and equipment
Promoting the Regal Crown Club program
Operating, preparing, and cleaning all concession equipment
Complying with all local, state, and federal food safety laws
Ensuring required alcohol certification and training are current where applicable
Usher
Tearing tickets, collecting and depositing appropriate stubs, and directing patrons to their auditoriums
Inspecting backpacks and packages when applicable
Managing crowd control and assisting guests in finding seats
Enforcement of MPAA rating system
Conducting in‑theatre inspections for picture and sound quality, and monitoring film and content theft
Reporting any problems, discrepancies, or unusual situations to management
Performing in‑auditorium concession auxiliary sales as directed by management
Cleaning auditoriums and maintaining restrooms, lobby area, hallways, and other non‑auditorium areas after shows
Monitoring the cleanliness and operation of theatre vending equipment
Assisting with all opening and closing duties as assigned by management.
Requirements Qualifications:
Completion of the cast certification program as a cast member and as a box office cashier, or progress toward completion.
If the theatre sells alcohol, completion of all required state or local alcohol training and the Regal Entertainment Responsible Beverage Server training on Regal Online University.
Strong public speaking, listening, and clear, direct communication skills.
Ability to perform mathematical calculations with speed, accuracy, and error correction.
Problem‑solving skills: gathering data, evaluating alternatives, and reaching evidence‑based conclusions.
Excellent communication, goal setting, budgeting, and prioritization skills.
Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, handle, reach, and occasionally lift up to 60 pounds.
