Core Responsibilities
As a School Aide, you’ll work closely with classroom teachers and therapists to support students in achieving their individualized education goals. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Assisting with classroom activities tailored to each student’s IEP
Supporting students during community occupational outings and field trips
Providing help with personal care and mealtime routines
Assisting in lunch preparation and cleanup
Maintaining classroom organization and cleanliness
Documenting observations and data with clarity and accuracy
Collaborating with therapists to implement therapy goals
Creating a positive, person-centered environment for every student
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid New York State Driver’s License
Basic computer skills (Adobe Acrobat, Word, Outlook)
A caring attitude and a commitment to helping others succeed
