Job Summary: Performs routine and specialized Cytogenetic procedures and microscope analysis.
Minimum Qualifications: NYS license/registration or limited permit to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist and 2 years clinical lab experience required. *Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry or physics and less than 2 years clinical lab experience or with a NYS license/registration or limited permit to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technician will be considered for appointment to a commensurate title and salary. Must be able to distinguish colors for the purposes of performing laboratory tests.
Preferred Qualifications: BS in Molecular Sciences (Cytogenetics or Molecular diagnostics). ASCP certification as a Clinical specialist in Cytogenetics.
Work Days: M-F 8:30-5:00
