Position Summary The Senior Custodian performs skilled and semi‑skilled cleaning, housekeeping, and general maintenance duties in acute and non‑acute inpatient, outpatient, and non‑patient areas. Responsibilities include care and caution when using supplies and equipment, performing resilient tile and carpet care maintenance tasks (stripping, waxing, carpet extraction/shampooing), and other related housekeeping duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
Perform skilled and semi‑skilled cleaning and housekeeping duties.
Use care and caution when handling supplies and equipment.
Perform resilient tile and carpet care maintenance tasks (stripping, waxing, carpet extraction/shampooing).
Execute other related housekeeping duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Previous experience working in a service industry position.
Previous experience interacting with internal and external customers.
Ability to demonstrate essential skills for assigned duties.
Customer service skills appropriate to the job.
Ability to work in various locations and rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English.
Ability to maintain an appropriate work pace for the workload.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated custodial experience working in a healthcare environment.
